Carlos Guerrero was born and raised in Miami, Florida the second of six children of Daisy and Cuban Actor/Poet Jorge Raul Guerrero. Growing up around the people in the business gave Carlos his comfort zone. After a big deception on a shady film project Carlos put his talent to rest and tried a life without acting. On July 4th 2003, after a false alarm angiography, and after receiving a message from God, Carlos jumped back onto the stage and has since played a wide range of diverse dramatic and comedic roles on theatre, television, films & commercials. Speaking fluent English and Spanish has allowed him to work on both the American and Hispanic markets. Carlos is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA. Carlos produced "Promises" a film he wrote and stars in playing a self-made millionaire who ends up homeless. Promises has earned numerous accolades including three best actor awards in festivals across the U.S. Carlos endured an eight month transformation for this role. Carlos is the best actor award recipient at the 2008 California NextGen Film Festival, the 2010 Bare Bones International Film Festival, the 2012 Miami Life Awards, and the 2013 WITA awards. Although he's had extensive training, his best lessons come from the teachings, advice, and experiences of his father and best friend who taught him that "to be happy in life you must do what you love". Carlos is now passing this on to his four children and has had the privilege of working on several projects with his son Carlos Guerrero Jr. who also inherited a love for acting and created the third generation of professional "Guerrero" actors.
